Upgrade Local System

The following sections explains the upgrade procedure for the Local Core System, which includes the Local Core for the site.

Relay Server

Login DataStudio to check system health for Relay Object

Select Relay object in IO-Model.

Relay system status

Hardware performance counters show healthy system,

Relay object has good status.

Relay Software Information property 'Version' shows correct old version.

Select Relay object in IO-Model.

Change common property 'component version policy' to Automatic, Restrictive.

Enter an update comment.

Click Apply.

Upgrade is running, depending on progress upgrade spinner (white) will become visible.

Node Server (Local)

The Central Core system has multiple Node Servers, the following steps should be executed for each. At least they have to be performed on the 3 Global MongoDB Connectors.

Login on Interface-Server, and open windows explorer.

Remove (or move away) all old files from D:\installation

Copy AspenTechInmationSetup.exe to Interface-Server D:\installation

Upgrade source files

Right click on the AspenTechInmationSetup.exe file and select Properties. Check the "Unblock" box, click Apply then click OK, if required.

Start AspenTechInmationSetup.exe

Upgrade installation Welcome

Setup shows welcome screen for upgrade, with target version number.

Check the checkbox "Agree to license terms and conditions…​"

Check the checkbox "Create image backup…​"

Start upgrade installation by clicking Install.
